Brownies For a Crowd
PFRA 50th 1935-1985 Cookbook
Grease 1 – 11 x 15 pan or 3 – 7 x 11 brownie pans for double recipe.
Single Double
1 ½ cups flour 3 cups
1 tsp salt 2 tsp
2 cups sugar 4 cups
5 tbsp cocoa ½ cup
2 tsp vanilla 4 tsp
1 cup vegetable oil 2 cups
4 eggs 8
¼ cup water ½ cup
½ cup nuts, chopped (optional)
Mix all ingredients together in one bowl. Pour into prepared pans.
Bake in 350° F oven for 25-30 mins. Do Not Overbake!
Note: To make it easy for the kids to take their baking out of the pan, we line our pans with parchment paper after a light greasing. After it's cooled, we just lift out the paper, place on a cutting board and cut. Hardly any mess in the pan.
