For the Love of the Old West
The late 19th century was an exciting period of history for the American and Canadian West.
Both countries consisted 0f established cities along their east and west coasts. And both had prairies and plains struggling with growing pains. Divided into territories, these western states and provinces needed men and women with strong backs and healthy attitudes to survive.
This is one backdrop for my inspiring stories of faith and everlasting love.
Another backdrop is the farming communities of York County, Ontario where I've set my short story, Riding on a Christmas Wish. This land north of Toronto is rich in history and I'm quite familiar with it since it's the setting for the 1911 Courtship letters detailed over in the right column.
